Onboarding Framework

The Lifting Roadmap

Follow these three foundational steps to build a sustainable, progressive training system that endures for years.

01
Phase 1 • Baseline

Establish Your Baseline

Before you chase the perfect split or obsess over supplements, you need a clear picture of where you are. A baseline is your starting point. It tells you what is working, what needs attention, and how to measure real progress.

  • Body Metrics: Track body weight and waistline over two weeks.
  • Energy & Recovery: Note how you feel in training, how sleep is landing, and whether your schedule is sustainable.
  • Movement Quality: Check the basics — mobility, posture, and technical control — before chasing heavier loads.
02
Phase 2 • Programme

Select a Training Programme

The best training plan is not the most complicated one. It is the one you can repeat with consistency, recover from, and actually enjoy enough to stick with for months. If your routine fights your life, it will fail no matter how good the theory looks on paper.

  • 3 Days / Week: Full-body work for simplicity, recovery, and easy consistency.
  • 4 Days / Week: Upper / lower structure for balanced progression and manageable fatigue.
  • 5–6 Days / Week: Push / Pull / Legs (PPL) for lifters who want a more detailed split and a strong rhythm of recovery.
03
Phase 3 • Determination

Determination > Motivation

Motivation is useful. It is emotional, inconsistent, and often disappears the moment life gets loud. Determination is different. It is the willingness to show up when you do not feel like it, to keep standards high when results are slow, and to stay grounded when progress is invisible.

  • Consistency wins: One good session beats a week of idealised plans you never execute.
  • Progress is built in the boring middle: Most progress happens in the months when the novelty is gone.
  • Train for the long game: A sustainable system is worth more than a dramatic burst of effort that burns out in six weeks.
